Friedrich Böhme (22 July 1900 – 6 December 1989) was a highly decorated Kapitän zur See in the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Friedrich Böhme was captured by American troops in 1945 and was handed over to British forces. He was released in 1948.
